Sapphire
has the Arabian - type head and body that are so sought after in the
miniature horse world. She also has the most beautiful sparkling blue
eyes. Her sire is Magic Man's Color Prints, a National Champion LTD's
Magic Man son, and her lovely dam, Pacific Desire, was born here. This
little girl was so anxious to see what the world was like that she chose
to arrive a bit early at just over 300 days. Around her tail area she
has the most interesting freckles, and on her neck she has an eye
catching triangular patch which makes it look like she is wearing a
necklace. As you can see from her video, she has wonderful movement and
beautiful conformation. Just like her sire, Color Prints, she is also a
bay frame sabino pinto, who is homozygous for black. This little filly
is an excellent example of just how far the miniature horse breed has
come in the last decade.
Summer
was born on the first day of summer, and with the most wonderful blue
eyes! This is Hope's first foal. Both sire and dam are homozygous for
the tobiano pinto gene. Her dam Hope we believe also carries the
splashed white gene, and I suspect that Summer does too, though we are
unable to test for that at this time. She was just 19 inches at birth,
and is a real gem. Petite, with a gentle personality. She would be a
great asset to a color breeding program. She is homozygous for the
Tobiano Pinto gene, and can never produce a solid foal no matter what
stallion she is bred to. She has also tested Homozygous for Black (she
can never produce a red foal no matter what stallion she is bred to).
And with those gorgeous blue eyes that make you melt! A lot of flash in
a small package!
A
look in the dictionary under "Pizzazz" yields the following description;
"Dazzling style; flamboyance; flair". An apt description of
this stunning colt! His eye catching, flashy color is sure to
turn heads, and with his combination of pinto genes, he will be a
goldmine for breeding. His body is dotted with deep mahogany red calico
patches, trimmed with a jet black tail, ears, and forelock, with patches
of jet black in his mane. The calico patches also occur on his great
grand dam, Van Los Angel In Calico. Both sire and dam are negative for
the Sabino (sb1) gene. We think Pizzazz carries a sabino gene that we
cannot test for at this time. Combined with his stunning color, is
a floating movement which he gets from his sire. This is a proud colt
that has lots of Pizzazz! His sire is Pacific Mad Hatter, a black Frame
Tobiano Pinto Stallion with blue eyes, who has an ultra-refined
Thoroughbred - type body and elegant movement. His dam is Easterbrooks
Dream About Me, a bay Splashed White Tobiano Tovero mare with blue
eyes. Add his incredible pedigree to this colt and you have one
impressive package! Pizzazz has been tested and is Homozygous for
the Tobiano Pinto gene (he will always have a pinto foal no matter what
mare he is bred to).
O.K. I
admit it! I am a sucker for blue-eyed black horses. And when you add a
wide blaze to the picture I am even happier! Cupid has been tested and
is a Frame Overo Pinto colt. This colt is an elegant, very fine boned
foal, with a beautiful floating trot, and leg extension. He also has the
most dreamy, sparkling blue right eye, and partial left eye. He is out
of one of our favorite mares Strawberry, with a nice long neck, smooth
body, flat topline that breeders strive for in miniature horses. Cupid
started out with a sable colored coat, but has shed out to have a black
coat. His dam has tested Sabino (sb1) negative, but we believe she is
carrying a sabino gene that we cannot test for at this time. Cupid's
sire is a solid homozygous for black stallion Pacific Valentino who's
pedigree includes the LTD Magic Man and Bar L lines. His dam,
Strawberry, was the top selling mare at The Miniature Horse Event in
Texas in 1997 where she was purchased for over $20,000 by Aloha Ashly
Acres. She was in foal at that time to the famous stallion Roan Ranger.
She is now one of our ranch matriarchs at 21 years young. This is her
thirteenth foal which have included several well known stallions: Aloha
Acres Terminators Hercules, a 1999 AMHA Reserve National Champion; Aloha
Acres Magic Marker, a two - time top ten AMHA National Champion Stallion
owned by Olympian Ranch; and Aloha Acres A Touch of Magic. We consider
this foal to be among her finest foals ever.
Another
stunning colt by Jazz. A pretty dished head with a fine, white
lightning stripe that adds sparkle to his face and highlights his tiny
muzzle that ends in a snip. He has a nice neck, a wonderful little
topline and tail set, and he has a lot of presence for such a youngster.
His balanced color pattern is dramatic, complete with a black and white
flashy tail. Both sire and dam are jet black (non fading) pintos, and he
has inherited this trait. He should be an excellent show contender, and
a future breeding stallion. Martini has been tested and is homozygous
for black (he can never produce a red foal no matter what mare he is
bred to).
Another
stunning colt, super refined, with a dished head, tipped in ears, huge
eyes, and a gorgeous body! Jet (non fading) black color. He has tested
positive for the Frame (LWO) pinto gene. He also has the classic sabino
markings on his face, and the jagged white leg markings, but is sabino
(sb1) negative. We think he carries a sabino gene that we cannot test
for at this time. Most of his pinto body markings are on his belly, but
he does have a large patch of white on his left side, and two small ones
on his right side. His sire, Pacific Valentino, is a solid homozygous
for black stallion who's pedigree includes the LTD Magic Man and Bar L
lines. His dam, Tiara, is a Bay Frame Sabino Overo Pinto, and is also
homozygous for black. All his pinto markings come from his dam Tiara.
Both sire and dam are homozygous for black, and this colt is as well. He
can never produce a red foal no matter what mare he is bred to. This is
a very refined, elegant colt, with an excellent personality to go with
his great looks.
WOW!
This colt is absolutely breathtaking! He is exceptionally refined, with
extremely delicate features. He has an incredible head and eye, a long
and hooky neck, and a gorgeous body. He is nothing short of spectacular.
Hot Spots is a dream come true. An awesome body with spots
galore. Forever showing off with a "watch me" attitude.
Jet black, tiny muzzle constant tipped in
ears, and a dishy head for that Arabian look that is so popular in the
show ring. Both sire and dam are jet black (non fading) tobiano pintos.
Taking after his sire, All That Jazz, with spots big and small, placed
all over his body. The white lightning stripe with black smudge adds
interest to his face and highlights his tiny muzzle. His movement is
perfect, with a floating trot to complete the picture. Hot Spots is
homozygous for the tobiano pinto gene (he can never have a solid foal no
matter what mare he is bred to).
This little
lady began our 2009 foaling season. She has tested positive for the
frame (LWO) pinto gene, but also has the classic sabino markings on her
face and the jagged white leg markings. She has a dun line back and
shoulder baring and appears to be carrying the dun gene. She tests
negative for the sabino (sb1) gene, so we think she is also carrying a
sabino gene that we cannot test for at this time. She is a lovely, rich
bay color. Her sire is a solid homozygous for black stallion Pacific
Valentino. He combines the LTD Magic Man and Bar L lines. Her dam,
Evette, is a Bay Frame Sabino Overo Pinto. Both Evette's sire and dam
were frame overos. Evette's sire is La Vista Brilliant Remark, and her
dam is Ashley Acres Eve Was Framed. This would be the perfect horse to
use in a frame overo breeding program, or any serious pinto breeding
program Spice loves attention, and has a zest for life. She has a sweet
personality.
